Aurizon Exploration Continues to Yield Positive Results

Aurizon Mines (ARZ.TSX, AMEX: AZK) reported initial encouraging results from drilling of the 123 Zone from the exploration track drift on the 550 meter (m) level at its Casa Berardi Mine in north-western Quebec.  The Canadian-based gold mining company noted that the current exploration program is focused 200m below and above the 550m on Zone 123 – located approximately 1km east of the West Mine shaft.  The objective is to delineate the continuity of the mineralization.

As at December 31, 2010, the 123 Zone contained mineral reserves of 117,700 gold ounces, indicated mineral resources of 23,700 ounces, and inferred mineral resources of 234,100 ounces.
